Solomon Young Quartet

Prepare for an energetic evening of funky, melodic original music on the vibraphone! Solomon Young has been performing, composing and arranging since 2021. He has featured in a variety of local bands such as Fuja, The 6ft Pelicans and Autumn District; and led his own band, Duck Soup. In 2023, he received the Helpmann Academy award for Outstanding Multi-Instrumentalist, (supported by DankPods) and performed on stage with the amazing vocalist Jazzmeia Horn at the awards concert. Inspired by artists such as Joel Ross and Alfa Mist, Young's original compositions for vibraphone feature harmonically-rich writing and exhilarating melodic playing, delivering a fresh sound to contemporary jazz in Adelaide.
