UK-based Don Glori returns to Australia with one show only in Adelaide, performing his cool blend of jazz, funk, soul and samba live in a 4-piece band.
Unpicking the thread that stitches together Don Glori’s music would be an impossible task. His records combine elements of jazz, funk, soul, RnB and samba, yet he doesn’t fit neatly into any of those genres. His live show is more jazz-punk-funk than anything. One thing is certain, there is an undeniable, joyful spirit that permeates through his music.
His second album ‘Don’t Forget to Have Fun’ was released on Deep Matter in 2024 to widespread support and led to subsequent tours around Australia, EU & UK. His latest album ‘Paper Can’t Wrap Fire’ was released via iconic London rare groove label Mr Bongo in 2025, and his debut album ‘Welcome’ (2022) continues to gather streams.
Since relocating to London from Naarm/Melbourne in 2023, Don has gone from strength to strength. Selling out shows at London Jazz Festival, Jassmine (Poland) and Ronnie Scott’s; and gathering support from BBC, NTS, Worldwide FM, Rinse FM, KEXP, Tokyo FM, PBS and RRR.
Other key performances include Meredith Music Festival (AU), Brick Lane Jazz Festival (UK), Badehaus (DE), The Jazz Cafe (UK), Dragefjellet (NOR), Strawberry Fields, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Panama Festival and Dark MOFO (AU); and multiple sold-out Melbourne hometown shows at The Night Cat and Howler (500 capacity). He has also supported artists like Azymuth, Marcos Valle, Emma-Jean Thackray, Mildlife, Surprise Chef and Turnover.
Don is joined by 3 Naarm/Melbourne musicians for this exclusive Adelaide show.
